Jae-Hoon Lee has confirmed that BLACKPINK will release their 2nd full-length album after one year and 11 months.
According to the agency YG Entertainment on the 1st, BLACKPINK will release their 2nd full-length album next month. This is the first full-length album since the first full-length album, ‘The Album’ released in October 2020.
Before the album’s release, the pre-released song, an entirely new song, will be released this month after one year and ten months. After that, they go on a world tour in October. Two music videos with the highest production cost in YG history were also announced.
YG gave this series of projects the title ‘BORN PINK.’ YG explained, “It implied BLACKPINK’s unique identity that will never show off an unusual aura.”
Blackpink, which debuted in 2016, is a K-pop sign girl group. With ‘The Album’ it took second place on the US Billboard album chart ‘Billboard 200’, the highest ranking of a K-pop girl group.
Today, the number of subscribers to the official YouTube channel is more than 75.9 million, which is the top in this field among male and female artists worldwide.
YG said, “In addition to the published schedule, a number of special steps have been prepared for BLACKPINK’s status. The members have a strong will to repay the love that global fans have given them.”
