Kris Wu (31, Wu Yi Fan) from the group EXO, who was imprisoned in a detention center for sexual assault of a minor, was sentenced to 13 years in prison.
On the 25th, the Beijing People’s Court sentenced Kris Wu to 11 years and 6 months in prison for rape and 1 year and 10 months in prison for group lewdness, respectively, for a total of 13 years in prison. He was also ordered to be deported abroad after serving 13 years in prison.
Previously, in August of last year, Kris Wu was arrested in China for sexually assaulting dozens of women, including minors, under the guise of being cast as actors in his music video.
Kris Wu’s crimes became a hot topic among domestic netizens.
According to Chinese law, if arrested for rape and the crime is proven true, he would face chemical castration, 10 years in prison, and deportation.
Kris Wu is a Chinese-Canadian and debuted as a member of EXO under SM Entertainment in 2012. Afterward, in 2014, after going through a lawsuit against SM to invalidate the exclusive contract, he moved to China and continued his activities.
