Ready your lightsticks, Blinks! The Philippines will be one of the stops for Blackpink as the K-pop group launches their “Born Pink” world tour.
Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa will kick off the tour with two nights in Seoul, South Korea, later this October before heading to the United States.
The group will perform in Manila on March 25, 2023, after visiting Malaysia, Indonesia, and Taiwan. Ticket prices and the concert venue will be announced at a later date.
This will be BLACKPINK’s second time in the Philippines, having first performed in the country in February 2019 for their “In Your Area World Tour.”
After the Philippines, BLACKPINK will head to Singapore on May 13, 2023. They will be capping off their new world tour with two nights in Sydney, Melbourne in Australia, and Auckland in New Zealand throughout June 2023.
“Born Pink” takes its name from the group’s upcoming comeback album set for September. It is their first full-length release since 2020’s “The Album,” which included the singles “How You Like That,” “Lovesick Girls,” and “Ice Cream” featuring Selena Gomez.
BLACKPINK had already teased their lead single “Pink Venom” on August 8, which coincided with the group’s sixth-anniversary celebration before its August 19 release.
The group’s record label, YG Entertainment, has called the “Born Pink” world tour “the largest world tour in the history of a K-pop girl group.” The agency added that it is likely to add more locations to the ones already announced.
Apart from the songs from “The Album,” BLACKPINK is best known for their songs, “Ddu-Du Ddu-Du,” “Kill This Love,” “Boombayah,” “Whistle,” and “Forever Young.”
The K-pop group recently held their in-game concert “The Virtual” in collaboration with PUBG Mobile, becoming the first Korean act to do so.
