At 10 am on the 19th, a press conference was held to commemorate the release of the pre-release song ‘Pink Venom’ of BLACKPINK’s 2nd regular album ‘BORN PINK’. It is their first full album release in about a year and 11 months since their first full-length album, ‘The Album,’ in October 2020.

Leader Jisoo said, “Finally, it’s a comeback. I’m happy and excited to come back with new music.” The new song ‘Pink Venom’ has intense music from the beginning.”

On this day, Jennie said, “The album name was decided as ‘Born Pink’, and since Blackpink is a comeback after a long time, I wanted to capture BLACKPINK’s identity. I wanted to express a feeling that reminds us of us.” He explained, “Reversal is our charm. With that in mind, we used the word ‘lovely poison’ to describe us well. It is a song that contains conceptuality and BLACKPINK itself.”

Next, Rosé greeted, “I’m excited that a new song is coming out. I’ve prepared a lot, so please look forward to it.” Lisa added, “Coming here makes a comeback more realistic.”

Regarding the pre-release of ‘Pink Venom’, Lisa emphasized, “All the songs on the regular album I’m working on are perfect.”

‘Pink Venom’ is a hip-hop genre song with BLACKPINK’s unique charisma. The sound of a traditional Korean instrument in harmony with the strong beat catches the ears from the intro, and the sharp rap and killer vocals on top of it maximize the charm of each of the four members.

BlackPink will hold a ‘Countdown Live Stream’ to commemorate the release of ‘Pink Venom’ on the official YouTube channel at noon on the same day. The sound source and music video will be released at 1 pm.

Starting with Seoul in October, BLACKPINK plans to hold 36 tour concerts in 26 cities around North America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania. He meets 1.5 million global ‘Blink’ (Blackpink fans) through this.

After the pre-release, BLACKPINK will release their 2nd full-length album ‘Born Pink’ on September 16th.
