At the global press conference, BLACKPINK boasted spectacular visuals, dressed in chic outfits from the luxury brands they represent.
“Pink Venom” is a hip-hop track that embodies the different colours of each BLACKPINK member. Right from the intro, the song gripped attention with the sounds of traditional Korean instruments before transitioning to a more modern feel. The intense rap part also makes a deep impression, and coupled with BLACKPINK’s soulful vocals, “Pink Venom” was a whole eargasm.
Previously, BLACKPINK broke their record by recording more than 1.5 million pre-orders for “BORN PINK”. Fans and industry experts believe that BLACKPINK will set multiple achievements for a K-pop female act with this highly-anticipated comeback.
The 2nd full album, “BORN PINK”, includes 10 songs, starting with the pre-release single “Pink Venom”. As revealed by Jennie, this album will introduce new sounds that BLACKPINK has never tried. Jennie added that she particularly likes the 5th song on the album.
After releasing “BORN PINK”, BLACKPINK will hold a large-scale world tour, starting with Seoul and followed by various major cities across the globe, including Europe, Southeast Asia and the US.
